Srinivasa Ramanujan FRS was an Indian mathematician. However, he had practically no conventional study in pure mathematics. Inspite of that, he made significant commitments to mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series, and continued fractions, including answers for numerical problems then thought to be unsolvable.
Blaise Pascal was French and he was a mathematician and physicist who clarified the concept pf pressure and vacuum. He invented the early version of the hydraulic press and also developed the syringe that is used in all medical fields now. He also made the first mechanical calculator.
